Sinusitis and the present
Now Playing: mission impossible sound track
Ok, I have been missing in action for a while now. Things are kinda so so but otherwise okay.

Hair is growing well. I have two cornrows that I put in 2 weeks ago. It's due to be redone this weekend. I rinse daily, wash weekly and redo hair-do every two weeks.

Detangling is done in the shower with lots of conditioner in hair and using denman brush after which I use the weave on thread to tie the entire length of the combed out section. I repeat procedure on other section, spray leave in contidioner, oil with M-t-g oil and virgin coconut oil and I'm done.

After hair dries, I remove the thread and cornrow the sections.

I almost forgot, my lungs are getting pretty sensitive. Not that it hasn't always but I've had a sinus infection since Monday. I refuse to be stuck on inhalers.

Hopefully, I'll manage without them.

Begin again
It's been a while since I posted here. Hair is growing and seems to have doubled in length. Edges have improved but on close inspection 2 bald spots are still visible.
I'm still doing growafrohairlong.com method and have my braids (calabar) in for about 3 weeks now. I wash daily with Mane 'n' Tail conditioner and oil hair & scalp after towel drying slightly with my salicylic acid ointment prescription. I intend to keep the braids in for 2 to 3months at a time redoing loose ones.
Today, I ordered Arnica Montana homeopathic dilute solution and will create an entry on how to use it using information from abc homeopathy website which I have saved in my yahoo email.
Happy thanksgiving and thanks be to God!

update
Now Playing: ewtn live tv on realplayer
I washed my hair today with just water while bathing for Mass.

I purchased Braids by Breslin's dvd on how to do microbraiding. I intend to get a mannequine to practice with. When the appearance and speed of my braiding effort becomes acceptable, I'll turn to putting in braids with extensions on my hair and thus be able to toss the wig for some months :o)

Braids crying out for help
I'm seriously seeking 48hours in my day or a time management guru to help me out. I am on a quest to gain some weight/bulk really and not fat.

Breakage due to non moisturizing of ends
I redid some braids while studying today and noticed that the hair I removed didn't have the bulbs. I moisturized the ends and covered the hair with my silk scarf.

Need to do this daily to keep the hair I've grown on my head ^_^ Not so good results but praise God who has counted every single strand on my head.

weekly wash
I managed to wash my hair in the kitchen sink yesterday with diluted protein conditioner. It's snowing outside. If I work from home tomorrow, I'll redo the braids and put some leave in conditioner on the hair.

The edges are growing, praise God

I roasted groundnuts/peanuts in the oven. The process involved slightly wetting the nuts, adding a pinch of salt and some sugar, letting it dry a lil', placing the nuts on a foil sheet/tray and putting the tray in the oven @ 400 degrees. It turned out awesome, praise God.

Sentshi wo mon jol so mo
Mood:  silly
The title is mandarin and if my spelling is right, it means "what are we working on?".

Ok, I just rediscovered my one year old hair website http://myhairsos.tripod.com/myhairghl/index.html
and I'm linking it to this blog. Haven't been doing anything significant to my hair. Tomorrow is saturday and I'm gonna wash it in the kitchen sink with the detachable shower head after I finish with my groceries and cooking.

I can tell that it's growing but it isn't really impressing me. Old baldy is reluctant to leave in about 2 spots. I'm trying hard to ignore them spots but ya know how it is with me being a hair fanatic.

Well, baldness signifies wealth and I'm so not worrying myself about my wealthy destiny ^_^

wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Edited to say: The w(s) stand for screaming because the blog wouldn't show my entries.

I just returned from work and after showering, brushing my teeth, washing my lunch bowl and conditioning the ends of my single braids with a mixture of African Pride braid spray and Infusium, it is almost 12midnight.

Lest I forget, I'm using the growafrohairlong.com method to care for my hair (wash braids once a week, condition daily with the above mixture), however, I also customize by rinsing daily for moisture when the weather and time permits.

I'm gonna look into Oracle Peoplesoft Financial. God help me :D
